KITS - Ndebele (Herringbone) stitch
Ndebele (or Herringbone) stitch is done with pairs of beads.
The thread path causes the pairs of beads to sit at an angle and look like a
Herringbone weave, thus the name Herringbone.

Dagger Lariat

This Opera Length necklace uses herringbone as its' main stitch, but teaches you how to transition from herringbone to netting and back to herringbone with a little peyote thrown in to help with the transition. The texture in the spiral comes from using two sizes of beads in your herringbone stitch with a wire added inside the spiral where the strands join together. The two-hole daggers and vintage Czech crystal drops add a nice finish to the strands.

Traditional Herringbone (Ndebele) using size 11 beads with the addition of a Size 8 Demi beads as an accent and a floating embellishment of Size 11 Demi beads.
This necklace also includes the three beaded beads done in embellished right angle weave that float on the center of the necklace.
The beaded beads are embellished with O beads and 3mm Swarovski bicones in the Gold Aurum color.

This Lariat is made using Spiral Herringbone (Ndebele). You start with the double size center portion, split it into two pieces and then join it together agin to form the loop that the end of the lariat will pass through when you wear it.
Leaves contain Swarovski Crystal and O Bead edging. The ball is made with Quadra Lentils.

The stitch is slightly modified to add the fringe and reinforce the center tube, but this does not alter the herringbone pattern. This bracelet is easy to complete by all levels of beaders.

This attractive Lariat necklace is made up of size 11 Japanese seed beads with size 6 and 8 seed beads and Czech Fire Polished Crystals worked in to created the baubles. Main color seed beads is gun metal grey.

This necklace should be easy to complete by all levels of beaders.
